The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the traditional confrontation, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
